SFU hosted a live performance by the band SM6 on Sept. 5.
The nearly two-hour performance kept students entertained throughout the night.
“I thought it was really good. The energy was really high,” said student Isabella Funk.
SM6 is no stranger to SFU, having performed at the University last year. Band member Isabel Jones said SFU is her favorite among the schools where the band has performed.
The band encouraged students to sing along and its members interacted with fans throughout the show. They shared quick moments with attendees between songs that made the performance feel personal.
Funk was impressed with the event’s ability to bring people together.
The concert featured a variety of music, primarily alternative rock, including a collection of original songs and covers. The band also gave the audience a preview of an unreleased song that is scheduled to come out soon.
Following the show, students interacted with the band by taking pictures and getting posters signed.
“We would definitely come back again,” said one of the band’s members.
