The Center for Fine Arts’ production of “The Addams Family” will be performed in the Resinski Black Box Theatre, with multiple shows beginning on Thursday, April 16, and running through Sunday, April 19.
The musical follows a grown-up Wednesday Addams, played by junior Sarah Beth Mish, who has fallen in love with a “normal” man. Wednesday faces a life-changing family dinner where her boyfriend and his parents are invited.
Joel Godissart, a senior Zoo and Aquarium Science major, plays Gomez Addams in the production.
“I would say my favorite aspect of the musical is getting to run lines,” said Godissart, “and spending time with friends I don’t normally get to see.”
Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s shows begin at 6:30 p.m. Sunday’s show starts at 2 p.m. The shows are already sold out, but a limited number of tickets will be sold at the door.
“What I have enjoyed most about the show is the people,” said junior Marketing major Erin Golding, who is part of the ensemble cast.
“Getting to put on a show with all my friends is the best.”
Other characters in the production include: Tessa Paluzzi as Morticia; Gavin Ross as Uncle Fester; Sydney Korbanic as Pugsley; Alex Martorella as Grandmama; Drew Sill as Lurch; Alex Frye as Lucas Beineke; Brenna Kern as Alice Beineke; and John Paul Caroff as Mal Beineke.
“I’m so excited for people to see the show,” said Goddisart.
