The Chemistry Department celebrated Chemistry Week from Oct. 19-23.
Chemistry major Colton Chathams said the annual event “brings people together for something that connects us all.”
The celebration included scavenger hunts, guessing games and snacks for students as they made their way to their classes.
“Celebrating Chemistry Week is so important – we can learn to appreciate the most fundamental aspects of our world,” said Addison Clark, a freshman Physician Assistant major.
“The Chemistry Club does a great job of incorporating learning with fun activities.”
Students had the opportunity to not only engage in fun activities, but also learn chemistry fun facts and trivia.
“Being able to celebrate with people inside and outside of our department is really awesome,” said Chemistry major Luke Mitchell. “It gives the place a sense of community and friendship.”
“The best way to bring awareness to STEAM fields is to get creative and find ways to show that research can be both important and exciting.”
