Halloween is a time for candy, fun decorations and pumpkin carving, but some of the best childhood memories are dressing up in a fun costume and going trick-or-treating.
Halloween costumes allow kids to use their imagination.
“My best Halloween costume as a kid was when I was Mal from Descendants,” said Helena Green.
“I was a sick ninja,” said sophomore Physical Therapy major Brad Boring.
“I was Eeyore, the donkey from Winnie‑the‑Pooh,” said senior Communications major Marianne Labelle.
While some students’ best costumes were characters from a movie or television show, others went as animals.
“My favorite costume was when I was a cheetah in elementary school,” said Julie Dumm, a freshman Exercise Physiology and Physical Therapy double-major.
Some students recalled going the extra mile with their costumes.
“I was a Jack-in-the-Box toy and I made the costume myself,” said Labelle.
“I went as a Lego brick one year,” said Kathryn Beck.
“I don’t even know what I was, but I looked like evil Robin Hood,” said Gabe Cox.
