The SGA meeting on Oct. 15 previewed the upcoming election for the campus senate.
Multiple seats are open for newcomers, along with many vacancies on the executive board created by graduating seniors.
To hold a seat on the eboard, one must be a current or former senator. To hold the position of president, a student must have served on the eboard for at least one year.
SGA elections will run from Oct. 28-Nov. 3.
Donut Heaven merchandise was also discussed at last week’s meeting.
“The shirts at Donut Heaven have not been selling amazingly,” said Sen. Rachel Lucas.
Some senators support the idea of selling off-brand NeeDohs (squeezable sensory fidget toys) instead of shirts.
“I would much rather have a T-shirt, despite them being unpopular,” said SGA President Cole Weiland.
Sen. Jelana Boldizar proposed still offering T-shirts while also selling the NeeDohs.
Sen. Evan Mardis suggested a neutral T-shirt design that could be sold in the future to avoid excess inventory.
The topic was tabled for further discussion.
SGA’s fall semester Town Hall is scheduled for Nov. 5.
