The Class of 2020 hosted their first big fundraiser of the year, a Step-by-Step Painting Night on Thursday night, November 9, in the Boiler House.

Karen Mesaros, artist and the owner of Mesaros Arts & Entertainment, came to campus to instruct the event. Twenty people attended, including 10 students and 10 faculty, staff, and community members.

“My painting came out way better than I thought it would,” said Andrew Potopa, a SFU student.

Each person was able to put their own twist of their canvas, as Karen walked everyone through each step of painting their masterpiece of Saint Francis.

With a lot of positive feedback, the Class of 2020 hopes to hold another painting night in the Spring Semester of 2018.
