The men’s soccer team’s goalkeeper Jordain Jaeger has been named the Northeast Conference Rookie-of-the-Year following an outstanding freshman season.

In addition, freshmen Milan Djajic and Julian Jakopovic both landed spots on the NEC’s All-Rookie Team.

Jaegar allowed just 19 goals on the season and posted five shutouts. In 16 games played, the netminder from Germany recorded 75 saves and finished his first collegiate season with a save percentage of .708.

“I’m very grateful to have received this award, but it’s already time to get back to work,” said Jaeger.

Jaeger recorded a season-high 16 saves in a 2-1 win over Saint Francis College-NY.

He becomes the first men’s soccer player in University history to be selected the NEC Rookie-of-the-Year.

“Without the support of the coaches and my family – and especially my teammates – this wouldn’t have been possible,” said Jaeger.

The men’s soccer team finished the 2022 season with a 6-6-4 record and a 3-2-3 mark in the NEC.
