The Fine Arts Program presented “The Importance of Being Earnest” during multiple shows at JFK Auditorium last week.
Written by Oscar Wilde, the play follows two young men who take fictious names in pursuit of marriage in 19th-century British high society.
Student Miranda Weiland, who played Cecily Cardew, enjoyed being a part of this spring’s production.
“It is very different from shows we have done in the past,” said Weiland. “The comedy of the upper-class manners is over the top, which made rehearsals very unique.”
Assistant director Tessa Paluzzi enjoyed working on the show on the production side.
“Seeing the show slowly come together was really nice,” said Paluzzi.
“I love the people who make theatre,” said Props Mistress Theresa Martz. “It is a great environment to express creativity.”
