Marketing students have organized a Saint Francis chapter of the American Marketing Association with the help of Assistant Professor of Marketing Kim Flanders.
“The AMA allows students to network with professionals in the industry, provides students with professional development opportunities, and encourages participation in academic and social events throughout the year,” said Flanders.
Students in SFU’s new chapter plans to attend the 2024 AMA International Collegiate Conference, April 11-13, in New Orleans.
The conference allows students to participate in competitions and marketing workshops, as well as receive career guidance from professionals.
“I am happy that we are now able to have a club where we can explore different aspects of marketing,” said Arianna Keller, co-president of SFU’s AMA chapter.
“It has been talked about since my freshman year, so I am excited that we finally got it off the ground.”
The elected executive board of the chapter includes Co-Presidents Arianna Keller and Dominic Cacciotti; Vice President of Administration Kayley Sossong; Vice President of Digital Marketing Lindsey Slebodnik, Vice President of Involvement Baily Trettel; and Member-at-Large Marlana Krug.
Anyone interested in joining the AMA may contact Dr. Flanders.
