The Red Flash football program welcomed back one of its former players, Martin Foray, in July. Foray will serve as the team’s secondary coach.
Foray played defensive back for SFU from 2017-21.
During his career, Foray played in 45 games. He recorded 213 total tackles (119 solo stops), two sacks, 13 pass breakups, two interceptions and three forced fumbles. He led the Northeast Conference with 102 total tackles in 2021, earning first-team All-NEC honors.
Before returning to Saint Francis, Foray coached at Northwest High School in Germantown, Maryland, where he coached the team’s defensive backs.
“I’ve always wanted to be a coach when I was done with playing football,” said Foray, “but the main reason is to build character in young men and get our defensive backs to the next level.”
The SFU football team also recently selected senior Kerry Galloway as its team captain. Galloway is a starting defensive back and will be working closely with Foray.
“It feels like a dream come true to lead my brothers and guide them with the word of God,” said Galloway.
