It’s that time of the year again: Homecoming. Many great events will take place during this year’s Homecoming. The event will kick off Thursday, October 30 and end Saturday, November 1.

Homecoming’s kickoff party will be Wednesday, October 29 in JFK lounge from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Thursday night’s events will include annual Casino Night and Club21. Both of these events will take place from 8:00-11:00 p.m. in JFK lounge.

Friday’s event will include Paul Ramsay a hypnotist at 8:00 p.m. in JFK lounge followed by Musical artist Todd Carey who will perform in JFK auditorium.

Saturday will consist of events all day, starting with tailgating in JFK parking lots at 11:00 a.m., followed by the 2014 Homecoming Parade: “Red Flash Pride Around the World,” which will start at 12:00 p.m.

Saint Francis University’s Red Flash Football team will take on Duquesne Dukes at 1:00 p.m. at DeGol Field.

Homecoming court will be announced at the halftime of the game.

Nominations for 2014 Homecoming court include Christopher Albright, Chase Bamat, Zachary Bartolotta, Earl Brown, Timothy Hornick and for Brianna Betti, Sarah Middler, Maria Moll, Gabrielle Townsend and Danielle Wieger.

Homecoming’s Semi-Formal Dance “The Red Masquerade” will take place in Stokes Auxiliary Gym from 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

An official ticket is required for entry to the dance. Students can pick up tickets at the JFK Information Desk. Tickets are free to Saint Francis students; however, students are able to purchase one guest ticket for $5 starting Monday October, 27.

Students can decorate Masquerade masks at the DIY Craft Night Wednesday October, 29 from 7:00 9:00 p.m.

Rhya Bianchi is the chair for this year’s Homecoming celebration.
