SFU hosted its annual Solidarity Festival on April 11 at the JFK Student Center.
The purpose of the festival is to gather members of the campus community to promote opportunities and learn about local, national and global initiatives.
Colleen Krug, who works in SFU’s Core Curriculum and Honors Department, helped to coordinate the event.
“The core mission of the festival is to show that we are all members of one community,” said Krug. “We walk with each other and we are all made in God’s image.”
Many outside organizations and campus clubs participated in the festival.
Morgan Daugherty, a Clinical Assistant Professor in SFU’s Social Work Program, also helped to organize the festival.
“I hope this festival sparks interests in students to be a member of a club or to participate in future festivals,” said Daughtery. “I hope they have a deeper understanding of being part of our community.
“We care about everyone, every day.”
