Business Students learn, explore on Spring Break trip to London

The School of Business sponsored its 10th annual trip to England during the 2017 Spring Break. SFU students and faculty arrived in London on Feb. 24.

Joining the students on the trip were Randy Frye, dean of the School of Business, and James Logue, professor of Accounting/Finance. Students who participated earned three credits in an innovative hybrid course.

Within the course, the students learned about different aspects of international business, focusing on Great Britain, and the European Union’s importance in the global economy.

Participants had the opportunity to tour various museums and famous institutions of business, including the Bank of England Museum, the Royal Exchange and Lloyd’s of London. One of the highlights of the trip was a tour of Buckingham Palace. A tea session followed.

Other destinations for the group included the London Eye, Big Ben, and a favorite among students, a Warner Brother Studio’s/Harry Potter tour.

Student Alicia Tiberino described the trip to London as an “enlightening experience.”
