The Saint Francis Greek Life community will host a Christmas Carnival in the Stokes Center’s Auxiliary Gym on Saturday, Dec. 1, to celebrate the holidays.

The carnival is not just for members of SFU’s Greek community. It’s open to any members of the University’s student body, as well as faculty and staff.

Each fraternity and sorority will host a different Christmas-themed activity station.

The event is intended to build a sense of community between all the Greek organizations, as well as students who are not involved in these organizations.

Psi Upsilon president Ryan Hills said that his fraternity will be hosting a hot chocolate station for the carnival.

“The carnival is an exciting new event from Greek life,” said Hills. “We are hoping it will become an annual event.”

Phi Lambda Psi member Gillian Elliot said that her sorority will be hosting a build-a-bear station at the carnival.

“It’s a good way to bring together the Greek community,” said Elliot.

“It also involves the rest of campus and allows everyone who isn’t a part a Greek life to get a small taste of what it means to join an organization.”
