Associate Professor of Business Administration Kent Tonkin addressed SGA members at the group’s Jan. 22 meeting.
Tonkin spoke to the senators about efficient leadership.
He told the group that effective leaders listen. The University is at a turning point, he noted, and he urged the senators to consider the concerns of their classmates.
He also encouraged the senators to be confident in their skills.
Following Tonkin’s message, the senators discussed some of the changes happening across campus. Chief Senator for Food and Dining Services Sarah Shook said that Frankie’s will offer breakfast foods every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Frankie’s plans to serve boneless wings on Super Bowl Sunday.
Chief Senator for Residence Life Abi DeBass discussed housing changes for the 2026-27 academic year.
Director of the Center for Student Engagement Kristen Corcoran said that the snow tubing lift will be out of order for the remainder of the semester.
Meghan Lingafelt reminded students that the form for Greek Life eligibility closes on Feb. 1.
Applications for orientation counselors will be accepted until Feb. 27.
