SFU dropped a 74-64 decision to Troy in the consolation game of the Coconut Hoops Tournament on Nov. 26.
Saint Francis opened the game red hot, going on an 18-6 run in the first half. The Red Flash held a 33-28 lead at the half, thanks to 48 percent shooting from the field (12-for-25) in the first 20 minutes.
Skylar Wicks had another strong performance, recording 21 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three assists. The New Jersey native played 38 minutes and connected on seven of his 15 shots from the field.
Sophomore Victor Payne had the best game in his collegiate career, scoring 15 points on five-of-10 shooting. Senior Zion Russell added 11 points and two steals. The Troy game marked the fourth time this season that Russell has scored in double figures.
Gestin Liberis added six points and six rebounds for the Red Flash.
SFU (0-6) will host Franciscan on Nov. 29. The game starts at 2 p.m. at the Stokes Center.
