The men’s basketball team lost at Lehigh, 79-62, on Nov. 18.
The two teams were tied at 14 before Lehigh went on a 12-3 run over the final 4:22 of the first half. SFU (0-4) trailed by 11 (43-22) at halftime, and the Mountain Hawks outscored the Flash by six in the second half to post a 17-point victory.
Redshirt senior Skylar Wicks led SFU with 24 points and 12 rebounds, recording his second double-double of the season. Wicks shot 56 percent (nine-for-16) from the field and connected on three of his four shots from three-point range.
Senior Zion Russell had another strong game with 11 points and six rebounds. Senior Ahmad Harrison had his best game in a Saint Francis uniform, scoring 11 points. He also recorded three steals.
Saint Francis played without Chris Moncrief, a returning starter from last year’s NCAA Tournament team, for a second straight game. Moncrief injured his ankle on Nov. 6 against TCU.
Nasir Whitlock led the Mountain Hawks with 23 points. Lehigh outrebounded the Flash, 37-33.
SFU returns to action at the Coconut Hoops Tournament in Fort Myers, Florida, next week. Head coach Luke McConnell’s team will open the tournament with a game against Belmont on Nov. 24.
The Flash will then face either Toledo or Troy, in the tournament championship or consolation game, on Nov. 26.
