The football team came up short against Robert Morris, 24-14, on Homecoming Weekend.
The stands were filled with over 1,000 for this Northeast Conference matchup and SFU stuck with RMU the whole game. SFU outgained the Colonials in total yards, 340-320, but committed several costly special teams mistakes in the 10-point setback.

Robert Morris opened the scoring in the second half with a touchdown, but SFU answered with a score of its own. Buffalo native Jordan Theodore scored his second touchdown of the season, hauling in an eight-yard TD pass from Whitfield, to pull the Flash within three (17-14).
