The women’s golf team will host the second annual Red Flash Invitational at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown on Oct. 20-21.
Sunnehanna is ranked as one of the country’s “Top 100 Classic Golf Courses.”
Many golf legends, including Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson, have played the course during their careers.
Purdue-Fort Wayne won last fall’s inaugural Red Flash Invitational, followed by Bucknell and Stonehill. SFU placed fifth at the event in 2024.
Red Flash seniors Camille Gagnon, McKenzie Gustas, Marlana Krug, Samantha Przybys and Meghan Zambruno will be competing in the last home event of their collegiate careers.
This will also be the last tournament that Saint Francis hosts as a Division I program.
SFU freshman Robbin Zetrouer will look to continue her strong play to close the fall season. The South Carolina native finished second overall at the Evan Parker Memorial Tournament at Mercyhurst on Oct. 5-6.
In addition to SFU, the other teams competing at next week’s Red Flash Invitational are Mercyhurst, Purdue-Fort Wayne, Howard, Towson, Bucknell, Mount Saint Mary’s, Duquesne and Saint Joseph’s.
The teams will play 18 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
