The football team dropped a 52-7 decision at Duquesne on Oct. 11.
SFU was unable to establish any momentum against the Dukes after returning to action following a bye week.
The Flash lost in the final seconds at Bucknell on Sept. 27.
The Dukes took control of the game immediately, returning the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown.
SFU starting quarterback Nick Whitfield completed 11 of 20 pass attempts for 58 yards, with an interception. Jeff Hoenstine also saw action at QB. The Martinsburg native was nine-for-13 for 62 yards and a TD.
Hoenstine connected with sophomore Payton Wehner on a nine-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter for SFU’s only score in the game. The touchdown capped a six-play, 52-yard drive.
Duquesne outpaced SFU in total yards, 323-165. The Flash were outgained on the ground, 95-45.
The Red Flash return to action in two weeks to open a four-game homestand. SFU will host Robert Morris it its Homecoming Game on Oct. 25 at 3 p.m.
