The women’s soccer team closed its season with a 3-0 loss at Howard on Oct. 26.
SFU registered 13 shots against the Bisons, its second-highest shot total in a game this season.
The Red Flash had a tough start to the season with an eight-game losing streak, but were able to turn things around, going 3-4-2 over their final nine matches.
“Sadly, our season did not go as planned due to many injuries,” said junior Rita Kendziora. “We are looking and working toward fall of 2024 and expecting great things.”
Junior Lauren Persichetty led the team in scoring this fall with 11 points (4 goals, 3 assists).
“One thing we could have done differently to make it into the tournament would be to play a complete game of soccer,” said junior Lauren Pyle, who placed second on the team with seven points (2 goals, 3 assists).
The 2023 team included eight of seniors.
