The Red Flash football team travels to defending Northeast Conference champion Sacred Heart on Oct. 29 for a noon kickoff against the Pioneers. The game will be streamed on ESPN3.

Last weekend, SFU improved to 4-0 in the NEC and 5-2 overall with a thrilling 17-13 Homecoming Game win over Stonehill. The Red Flash defense led the way to the victory over the Skyhawks, holding Stonehill to just 255 yards of total offense.

Defensive back Greg Reddick (pictured below) continued to shine for the Flash, making a season-high 12 tackles and intercepting a pass. Donnell Brown (five tackles, sack, forced fumble) and Joe Toepfer (three tackles-for-loss, sack, pass break-up) were also key contributors for the SFU defense in the Homecoming Game win.

The team’s 5-2 record is SFU’s best start to a season during its era as a Division I program, which began in 1993.
