Dorothy Day Center Conducting Furniture Drive
Due to the pandemic, donations to the Dorothy Day Outreach Center have slowed greatly, and the Center is now in the midst of a furniture drive.
The University and surrounding Loretto community can help benefit those in need in the region by donating furniture in a safe way.
The Center is currently accepting any donations of furniture items that are in good condition. What is most needed at the moment are beds and box springs of any kind. What the organization is not currently in need of is anything related to electronics, such as televisions, mobile devices or computers.
Created in 1981, The Dorothy Day Outreach Center is a volunteer organization founded on Franciscan goals. The Center offers help to local families who are in need of food, clothing, furniture and other items.
If you are able to make a furniture donation or have any questions regarding safety precautions at the DDC, please contact Brandon Galasso at bmg115@francis.edu.
