Amy McNally has been named an assistant coach for the lacrosse program.

McNally played lacrosse at Niagara University before graduating with a degree in Education and a specialization in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

“I wanted a coach who would be a good fit for Saint Francis because this is a special place,” said Red Flash first-year head lacrosse Tracy Coyne. “Someone who would bring good energy, but also fit the broader Saint Francis community.”

Coyne said McNally fit this criteria.

“I liked Saint Francis because of the tight-knit community,” said McNally, who was a defender for the Purple Eagles. “It is similar to Niagara.”

The players are excited to welcome McNally to Loretto.

“Amy brings a lot of knowledge and good energy,” said junior midfielder Katie Page.

Page said that McNally has already started fine-tuning the team’s defense.

McNally is looking to build on the defense the team already has in place, while adding her own touches as well.
