As my time as student body president comes to a close, I’d like to say thank you to the Student Activities Organization (SAO) and its wonderful president, Ms. Katie Kitchen. Most students don’t realize how hard this group works each and every day to create activities for every weekend of the academic year.

Planning and executing large-event weekends such as Homecoming or Springfest takes an incredible amount of hard work, time and patience. This group is selfless in providing opportunities for SFU students to create lifelong memories together.

I know it is often such a thankless job, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you SAO and Katie for your dedication to our campus community throughout 2019.
