Theatre performance to celebrate Black History and Women’s History Month.
A unique event celebrating diversity through chamber music theatre work is coming to campus March 9, performed by The Core Ensemble.
“I have been reading about Core Ensemble productions for several years, and hoping that sometime we would be able to bring one to our campus,” said Associate Dean of General Education Martha O’Brien. “I am excited to experience this unique artistic genre and hope that it will draw a good audience.”
Students who attend the performance Ain’t I a Woman will have the opportunity to learn about the life of four important and powerful African-American women who triumphed over great challenges
The performance is set to take place Monday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in the JFK Auditorium. Admission is free.
This event is made possible by The School of Arts and Letters, Fine Arts, Office of General Education, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
