SFU alumna Mikayla (Bower) Arnold visited campus on Feb. 14-15 as part of the Shields School of Business’ Executive-in-Residence (EIR) Program. Arnold works as a Business Development Executive for the Ralph S. Alberts Company.
During her visit last week, the 2019 SFU graduate talked to students in various business courses about what she has learned and experienced during her five years in the workforce.
“I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to come back,” said Arnold. “Even if it is for only two days.
“To be able to walk alongside you is rewarding.”
Prior to accepting a position as a Marketing Assistant for Ralph S. Alberts, Arnold served as a Marketing Account Executive for Little League International.
Arnold’s EIR presentation emphasized the importance managing and maintaining customer relationships.
When she worked for Little League International, Arnold was responsible for managing brand sponsors, including international companies Easton and Adidas.
Arnold offered SSOB students career advice during her visit.
“It is important to accept that your first job may not be your dream job,” she said.
“But that doesn’t mean you won’t get there eventually.”
Arnold was a pitcher and infielder on the Red Flash softball team during her undergraduate studies at SFU and worked for the Small Business Development Center.
She currently lives near Williamsport with her husband. The couple is expecting their first baby in April.
