National Bible Week is next week (Nov. 19-25). Introduced by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941, it is a week during which many Christians will reflect on their favorite Bible passages. Here are several SFU students’ favorite verses:
Baily Trettel: Romans 8:31 “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Makenna Patten: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Ty Mikula: Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Brooke Long: Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you.”
Mike Shumaker: Lamentations 3:22-23 “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.”
Mikey Chiha: Matthew 17:20 “Our faith can move mountains.”
Bella Pesce: Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Mitchell Auer: Mathew 26:41 “Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
Paige Drake: James 5:7 “Be patient until the coming of the Lord.”
