As I write this, the date is Oct. 31, 2023. Is that not hard to believe? This semester has gone by so fast and many memories have been made. SFU Football won on national television, the belltower and Occupational Therapy Building were completed, and each class has provided leadership and creativity in their own way.
This has been a great academic year so far!
This is my last Troubadour article as SGA president. The past two years have been a mix of emotions with incredible highs and lows, but through everything, it has been an experience I would not trade for the world. I hope the SGA has benefited you in some way in your journey at SFU, no matter your class year, major or interests.
The organization is made up of some extraordinary people that invest their time and talents to serve the student body. To all the Executive Board members, senators and advisors, thank you for all your work – you truly make a difference.
Personally, I want to thank all of you for giving me this opportunity to serve our community. It has been an honor and I hope you will show the next SGA president the same kindness you have shown me.
I have no doubt that the next president will adhere to the high standards that our student body expects from the leader of the SGA. Our elections will run from Nov. 1-7. Please check your email or visit a voting table in Torvian Dining Hall to participate. The new president and Executive Board will be announced at the SGA Townhall Meeting in JFK on Nov. 8.
I hope to see you there!
Thank you again.
