Performances of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’ draw Praise
The Department of Fine Arts presented a retelling of “The Diary of Anne Frank” in four showings at JFK Auditorium on March 31-April 2.
The story explores the life of Anne, her family and other Jewish citizens living in hiding in the German-occupied Netherlands at the height of the Nazi regime.
Hayden Elliott played the lead role of Anne, and Sawyer Weldon played the role of her love interest, Peter.
“It really makes you think about the ordeal Anne’s and many other families went through during the war,” said Paige Wanner.
The play was written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hacket. The performances were about an hour long and were directed by F.J Hartland.
