Saint Francis senior running back Khairi Dickson and junior kicker Lance Geesey earned Northeast Conference Player-of-the-Week honors on Monday.  Dickson was named Offensive Player-of-the-Week, while Geesey earned Special Teams Player-of-the-Week following the Red Flash’s 48-20 win over Georgetown on Saturday.

It is Dickson’s first career NEC Player-of-the-Week selection, while Geesey is NEC Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for the fourth time in his career.

Dickson ran for 129 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries against the Hoyas.  The Cleveland native averaged 5.9 yards per carry in his 11th career 100-yard game.  The senior scored on runs of one yard, three yards and 20 yards.

Dickson also passed Michael Hall (2000-03) to move into third place on the SFU career rushing yards list.  He now has 2,398 career yards.

Dickson and fellow running back Marcus Bagley each rushed for over 100 yards, the first time a pair of Red Flash players have reached the century mark in a game since Sept. 8, 2012 against Bryant.

Geesey connected on both of his field goal attempts.  He scored the last six points of the first half for the Red Flash on 24 and 44-yard field goals. With his first field goal of the day, Geesey broke a tie to hold sole possession of the career field goals record at SFU.  The junior now has 31 career field goals, passing Josh Thiel (2009-12).

Geesey also connected on all six of his extra point attempts against the Hoyas.

The Red Flash travel to Towson this Saturday for a matchup with the Tigers.  Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
