Saint Francis University is excited to announce Batflash Week.  Batflash 2014 is coming to Loretto on November 7, 2014. The event will feature real world Batman, Lenny B. Robinson.

Robinson was a wealthy man who decided to dress up in a $5,000 dollar Batman costume and visit children with life threatening illnesses. Robinson became an internet sensation when he was pulled over in 2012, driving a black Lamborghini and dressed head to toe in a Batman costume.

Robinson has been a hit on major media outlets such as CNN and ABC News.

The family-friendly event is in celebration of Batman’s 75th birthday and will feature a variety of activities.

The event will kick-off at 5 p.m. with an on-campus parade which will include Batman himself, Marching Band, Athletes, Greeks and numerous other campus organizations.

One of the most exciting aspects of the event is that it features the Central PA premier: Legends of the Knight, in which Robinson is featured. This is a heartwarming documentary about the history of Batman and how his message corresponds with people around the world.

Legends of the Knight encourages people to become heroes in their own way.

“Each one of us has the ability to overcome our own challenges, and to make a positive difference,” said Legends of the Knight filmmaker.

Batman fanatics will also be given the opportunity to meet real world Batman from 5:30-7:30 p.m. before the Legends of Knight movie premier.

Moreover the community is invited to a presentation Thursday, November 6, where Robinson will talk about “Being Batman in Business.” Robinson will talk about how you can be a successful business person and a philanthropist.

The beneficiary of this event is the Home Nursing Agency Healing Patch. Charity, healing and service are all key aspects of the Healing Patch and Saint Francis University.

This event is sponsored by Saint Francis University School of Business, Campus Ministry, and the Center for Student Engagement.
