Visiting Instructor of Visual Arts Jessica Campbell has curated an exhibition for the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art.
This will be Campbell’s last exhibit before she becomes a full-time faculty member in the University’s Center for Fine Arts.
Campbell said that she still hopes to find time to curate for the museum in the future.
The exhibit is titled “A Celebration of the Body: Selections from the Permanent Collection.” It will be on display through Jan. 16.
“The body is a focus in art” said Campbell. “This exhibit is a nice way to highlight the importance of the body.”
The exhibit opened on Oct. 21 with assistance from Bonnie Resinski, an Adjunct Instructor in the Fine Arts Program.
During an opening presentation for the exhibit, attendees were provided a brief history lesson in fashion, dating all the way from Eve to Scarlett O’Hara.
The museum is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 4:30 p.m.
